Brunswick Craig Shield trials are commencing for the 2027 tournament. Initial trials will be conducted in March (1 March and 9 March 2026).
Players should register their interest via this form:
Boys need to be born between 1/9/2011 and 31/8/2013 (girls can be one year older).
The Craig Shield is a high-standard Under 15 representative turf competition run by the Victorian Sub-Districts Cricket Association. It is part of Cricket Victoria's Pathway Program, providing a good foundation to Premier Cricket, including the Dowling Shield, and state representation.
Brunswick Cricket Club aims to provide players with opportunities to play at a high standard, improve their cricket, and have fun. Of the 32 teams in the Craig Shield competition, Brunswick has the best record over the last five years (quarter finals in each year, four semi finals, two premierships) - we typically field very strong teams.
Following the initial trials, we will select a reduced squad of players for sessions in Winter. We then plan to finalise selection of the squad by early Spring 2026. If you missed these March sessions, we might be able to fit some players in to later sessions (but no promises!).
Please get in touch with the Craig Shield coordinator if you have any questions (Mick McCarthy; mamcca@unimelb.edu.au).
